20 Percent Services Sale and Dilithium Weekend Event - Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online is continuing its series of events during the 7h Anniversary with two special extensions during this weekend: A generous 20 percent off for services from C-Store and a prolonged Dilithium weekend, for the joy of its fans.

Not that you wouldn't have enjoyed the discount for Master Keys that just barely started a few days ago, and the freebies during the five days of celebration along with the team behind Star Trek Online, counting a highly precious two active free ship slots and five additional for storage in your personal shipyard (if we can call it this way), and culminating with a Tier 5 free ship for each of the three faction Captains (an Avenger Federation Battle Cruiser for Federation Captains, a T’varo Light Warbird Retrofit for Romulan Captains, and a B’rel Bird of Prey retrofit for Klingon Captains), it was the time to taste more of the C-Store fruits preserved for more rare occasions like the one we assist.

That being said, we can put that hard-earned and refined Dilithium to good use, in the form of premium services that come to a 20% discount from February 2nd to February 6th, from which we can gladly specify a priority one "Account Shared Bank Slots", "Bridge Officer and Duty Officer Roster Slots", additional "Bank Slots" or "Character Slots". Of course, if you don't have these services already capped, we have to mention that these are mostly cumulative, and can be unlocked multiple times: for example, if one chooses to buy two times the "Account Shared Bank Slots" service, would receive 20 slots available to all characters into one account, instead of only 10 if purchasing one single account shared bank slot. The effect is even greater for Silver accounts, and with a surplus also for the Gold ones. For a more detailed view to the event, we can quote the statistics below.

 20% Services Sale STO (February 2nd - February 6th):

  • Character Slots (4)
  • Account Shared Bank Slots (10)
  • Bank Slots (12)
  • Bridge Officer Slots (2)
  • Captain Rename Token
  • Captain Retrain Token
  • Character Slots (2)
  • Duty Officer Roster Slots (100) (limit 4)
  • Duty Officer Roster Slots (25)
  • Inventory Slots (12)
  • Outfit Slots (2)
  • Ship Loadout Slots (10)
  • Ship Slots (2)
  • Energy Credit Cap Increase

Dilithium Weekend Event (February 2nd - February 9th):

The good news continues to flow: if the previous offer comes a bit hard on your shoulders depleting your reserves of refined Dilithium, the developer team of Star Trek Online joins to your rescue - during the same period with a 3 day grace after the weekend (February 2nd - February 9th), the fans of the Sci-Fi MMO can replenish their not refined ore reserves with a plus of 50 percent from any activity that rewards Dilithium (excluding the Reputation Projects), and with a 100 percent plus from activities at Vlugta Asteroid Field or Fleet Dilithium Mine (Daily Mining Missions.)

While the daily cap of 8K ore refining is still in place during the event, the rewards are plentiful during the usual Ground or Space Queues for most of the services on sale previously mentioned, and even to make reserves, especially if one calls in a "few favors" from more than one Captain from his roster to aid in his journey.

Last but not least, we're in the middle of the Omega Particle Tech Upgrade event, that would also greatly decrease your Dilithium use on any of the most needed upgrades, ground or space altogether, and the cherry on the cake pictured by the Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel, fact that only leaves me with the chance to wish you a great time along with your friends in Star Trek Online and "Live long and prosper!"

Omega Particle Tech Upgrade and Lukari Science Vessel - Star Trek Online Event

Coming freshly after the Winter Event in Star Trek Online which gave us a new lot of opportunities like the Breen Chel Boalg Warship and a series of great and useful kits and items, the time has come for the next event in the line as we were used in the spirit of the Anniversary Event 2017 proposed by the developer team of STO. This time, as the tradition mandates, a new Tier 6 ship is widely displayed, the Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel.

For those of you who really value a science Captain, this news should come as a warming glance to a great addition to the personal fleet of ships, especially if you would be able to pair it with the passed year event, another must have science ship, the Krenim Science Vessel, sporting an invaluable Mastery trait, the Improved Feedback Pulse. The duo should provide you with just enough fun in outer space for your Captains, even you have chosen the Tactical or Engineering career as well as the Science one, still, the latter making the most of them, until you would decide to a more dedicated combat-ready, if any at all. No matter the choice would be, the Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel seems a pretty neat design and just enough solid to take it on her own if necessary, providing a good support to a team due to the her class orientation. For more details, we have the stats for this craft listed below, with a side note that these stats are subject of potential change from the developer team of Star Trek Online. Data extracted during the 7th Anniversary Event.

What is worth to take into consideration is the fact that if you somehow miss the deadline of achieving this ship, you will be able to carry on with the already slotted points (vouchers) the next year's Anniversary event. This feature already applies to the passed year's event ship, the already mentioned Krenim Science Vessel, if you have her already slotted. As a side note, backwards compatibility of the event vouchers seems to be in place to all events that reward free ships, the already passed Winter Event being a living example. Evidently, you must have the event slotted in order to be able to contribute more vouchers next year until completion (1000 vouchers usually.) However, even if you don't have these event ships slotted, or in fact any other event, Star Trek Online comes with an outstanding choice for the new people coming to the game (and to  veterans if they missed the chance) to get any free ship and other items, previously set as unique rewards to a specific-only event, in the form of Phoenix Prize Pack, introduced December 1st, 2016. There is a small drawback though, since the players are required to invest a considerable amount of refined Dilithium in order to achieve their goal, but keeping in mind that this is the only way to get unique ships/items retired from the game, most of the times the price can be justified.

  Omega Particle Tech Upgrade

Not only the new Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel is the attraction of the 7th Anniversary Event this year! The team behind Star Trek Online knows that we have a lot of new items, kits, weaponry and layouts to upgrade in order to be good additions to our teams/fleets/friends. But that comes to a cost! Especially to refined Dilithium. Correction: A LOT of refined Dilitium! This is why they lend us a hand from time to time with the new Omega particles, and weekend upgrade events. During this whole Anniversary event, players who are in need of either ground or space upgrades, can freely find Omega particles to help them achieving their tasks. These powerful upgrade solutions give us a huge +25600 Technology Points and 4 times Quality Improvement Change, at a NO Dilithium investment whatsoever. You must know that along with the other upgrade solutions (crafted or not), the Omega Particle Tech Upgrades benefit as well of the weekend upgrade events, multiplying their already great abilities, saving huge amounts of Dilithium, time and additional currency otherwise needed in the process of enchanting our stuff. Don't waste your chance if you are fan of this game, and take the benefits of the 7th Anniversary Event as long as it occurs.

See you all in the upcoming Dilithium Weekend Event. Fly safe, and "Live long and prosper"!
